Jam at the Dam
On Saturday, August 2nd, the Ballyshannon Folk and Traditional Music Festival offers a truly unique experience with the “Jam at the Dam” gig. As a special fringe event of the 48th festival, this free, intimate concert takes place at 12 noon within the Cathaleen’s Fall Hydroelectric station. Situated on the banks of the River Erne, this distinctive setting provides an unforgettable backdrop for a midday dose of traditional music, merging industrial heritage with the vibrant sounds of Ireland’s longest-running folk festival. It’s an opportunity for festival-goers to enjoy live music in a location not typically open to the public, creating a memorable and atmospheric event. Music by Claddagh Rua.
